Hi,
Why didn’t portugal put cristiano ronaldo and some other players in to play. C. Ronaldo was in the bench during the entire game and the other team scored 2 zero on portugal. Please tell me why.

Other countries wont be hosting any of these tournaments, as the ones listed above are the nations that bidded to be hosts (/joint hosts) before the deadline.
Incase you didn’t already know, Poland and Ukraine will host Euro 2012 and Brazil will host the 2014 World Cup.
OQ: Why haven’t Yahoo changed the name of this section to FIFA 2010 World Cup and do you think that they’ll ever get around to doing it?
Not for me it doesn’t, it says 2006.
Also the next World Cup will be in Brazil, it’s already been confirmed. Hopefully 2018 for England though.

I don’t see why a big Developed country like Spain, with large stadiums would need to make a joint bid. Surely it’s more for Portugal’s benefit. I don’t think it should go to them because it was not long ago when they hosted the Euro. This will only make it more unlikely for Spain to get it.
France wins EU 2016 bid
(CNN) – France has been chosen to host the 2016 European Football Championship.
France beat off the challenge of Italy and Turkey to win the decision which was made by the 13 members of the UEFA executive committee.
UEFA president Michel Platini unveiled the name of France in a ceremony at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on Friday.
It will the third time France has hosted the championship, having previously staged the competition in 1960 and 1984.
France won the competition in 1984, captained by Platini, and 2000.
“This is a beautiful day for us,” French Football Federation president Jean-Pierre Escalettes told the official UEFA Web site.
France also hosted the World Cup in 1938 and 1998.
The bid was strongly supported by French president Nicolas Sarkozy, who spoke in the final round of bid presentations to the UEFA officials earlier in the day.
Turkish president Abdullah Gul was in Geneva to back his country’s bid, while Italy were represented by sports minister Rocco Crimi.
